Services for Shirley Mae Olson will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Tom Rush of Shekina Glory Ministries officiating, Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Shirley Mae Olson left this world peacefully at her home on June 15, 2010. She was born March 27, 1936 in Cahokia, IL. She married Alvin E. Olson from Banner, WY. In 1958 they moved to Spinnard, Alaska with their three children, Sheila, Denny and Kenny. Here their fourth child, Ed, was born. The family then relocated to Yellowstone National Park and had their fifth child, Susan. Their journey then took them to Isle Royale National Park on Lake Superior, with a final destination of Casper, WY. Mom enjoyed dancing, quilting, shopping, playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and spending time at the "Little Place". Mom was spirited, adventurous, generous, loving, bright, determined and fun. She worked for the BLM in Casper, retiring after thirty years. She will be deeply missed by her husband, five children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 12 great grandchildren.
