Steven Craig Maher

Steven Craig Maher, 72, of Casper Wyoming passed away on July 11th in Casper, Wyoming.

Steven was born in Casper, Wyoming to Edith Maher (Cashel), and Cecil Maher on December 23rd, 1952. He attended high school at Natrona County High. He then went on to serve 5 years in active duty as a 1st private. He earned a National Defense service medal and was honorably discharged in 1975. He went on to become a machinist for most of his career until retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, darts, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. After a short, and courageous fight with terminal cancer he died peacefully.

He is survived by his daughter Aubrey Benbo, grandson Zyren Meyers, granddaughters, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith Maher (Cashel), and Cecil Maher. His daughter Sheila Snapp (Maher), brothers Ron Maher, Bob Maher, and Leroy Maher. As well as sisters, Carol Elliot, Donna Smith, Linda Rizzo, and Sandi Clark.

Friends and family will remember Steve as a great man. He was known for his generosity and kindness. Giving his shirt of his own back to someone in need. He was great brother, father, grandfather, friend, and dad. The life lost here will be sorrowed and remembered dearly.

In lieu of a traditional service, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
