Susan Chapman was a strong, loving, and compassionate woman who treated everyone around her like family. She was born in Orland, California, and retired from the City of San Francisco after a long and dedicated career.
Known affectionately as “Grandma” to many, Susan had a warm heart and an open home. She was a devoted member of the LDS Church and found joy in simple things—especially collecting mice figurines and painting by numbers, which brought her peace and reflection.
To those who knew her, Susan was a leader—strong-willed but gentle, always willing to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. Her generosity left a lasting mark, and her kindness was the kind that others would quietly thank her for long after.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Angelina Alvarado Parkhurst Eagle, and her husband Manuel Alvarado. She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Brandon Parkhurst, Zackery Parkhurst, Christina Parkhurst, and Ashlaya Eagle, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren: Melodie Parkhurst, Tommy Parkhurst, and Ivan Parkhurst Eagle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 12:00 PM at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
She will be remembered not only for her strength and independence but for the love she gave freely, the lives she touched, and the legacy she left behind.
