IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Teresa Marie
Rude
July 15, 1951 – January 22, 2026
Teresa Marie Rude 74, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on January 22, 2026, after a brief, yet courageous, battle with cancer.
Teresa was born on July 15, 1951, in Three Rivers, Michigan to Leonard and Ardyce Moltzan. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1970. She then worked at Sunshine Corner Daycare as the Director for over 30 years.
Teresa married the love of her life, Harvey Rude, on December 12,1970 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Casper, Wyoming. The 55 years they had together were filled with an abundance of fun adventures and always ended with a funny story of something she would do or say.
Teresa loved more than anything being with her grandkids; spending holidays together, watching them play sports, and making them laugh. She enjoyed going to the lake and fishing with family and friends. She loved road trips with her family, especially her trips to Lake Havasu to be with her sister Brenda and brother-in-law, Mark. She was a big sports fan. The teams she loved watching were the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Vikings, and the Wyoming Cowboys. She loved making people laugh and was always the life of the party.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Harvey Rude of Casper, Wyoming, her two daughters, Tamra (Tom) Heindselman of Colorado and Ashlie (Brian) Lorge of Colorado. In addition, she is survived by her “adopted” daughter, Jennifer Brush, her niece whom she loved and spent a lot of time with. Her beloved grandchildren, Hunter Heindselman, Zack Heindselman, Chesley Heindselman, Broxton Lorge, and Reece Lorge. Teresa is also survived by her sister, Brenda (Mark) Holman of Elko, Nevada, brother-in-law’s Bill Rude and Bob Rude both of Casper, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father and mother, Leonard and Ardyce Moltzan, sister Sheryl Poole and brother Tom Moltzan.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Lodge located at 108 E. 7th St., Casper, Wyoming on Friday, February 13th, 2026, at 4:00pm in the ballroom. Teresa loved being simple and casual wearing her sweatshirts, so the family invites you to wear your favorite sweatshirt if you would like to.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Casper Elks Lodge Children’s Fund, Jason’s Friends or Meals on Wheels of Natrona County.
