Terrance Wayne McClure was born on April 22, 1951, in Gillette, Wyoming, to Herschel W. and Evelyn Dorothy Jane McClure. Terry passed away, surrounded by family, on August 6, 2025. He was the oldest of four children; his sisters, Phyllis Letz and Susan Miller, and his brother, Jeff. Terry lived in Sheridan, WY, until 1966, when his father was transferred to Casper. He attended East Junior High and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1970. Terry worked for Bill and Phyllis Douglass at the Red Barn until he enlisted in the Marines in August 1973. While in the Marines, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, and the National Defense Service Medal. Terry was stationed in Okinawa until he was honorably discharged in 1976.

After returning home, he managed the Red Barn, where he met his wife, Ann Marie Proper. They became engaged after two dates and were married on May 8, 1978. They were joyfully blessed with the birth of their four sons and one grandson: Adam, Aaron, Alexander, Andrew, and Thane. Terry worked at Wyoming Machinery Company for 39 years. Upon retirement, he continued his woodworking craftsmanship. Our family will forever cherish the many beautiful works Terry created. Terry was always willing to help his family with projects, no matter how big or small. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and see projects through to the end.

Although he retired, Terry got the job he always wanted--to be a grandpa. The last four years of his life were filled with love, laughter, and many trains with his favorite grandson, Thane; whenever Thane's trains needed to be repaired, he knew Papa would help. Although Terry used to cruise downtown Casper in his hotrods, his later years were all about the make and models of engines and coal cars. Thane brought so much happiness and love to Terry in those short four years. Even in the last months of his life, Thane and Terry's laughter filled the house.

Terry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann; his children, Adam, Alexander, Andrew and his wife, Tayler, and their son, Thane. His siblings, Phyllis (Terry) Letz, Susan (Neal) Miller, and Jeff (Kim) McClure. Also, his brother and sister in law; Rick (Jan) Proper and niece Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Aaron, who passed away just three years ago. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Raymond and Angela Proper and his brother-in-law Raymond Proper Jr.

Terry received the best care while hospitalized and the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Banner Wyoming Medical Center. We would also like to thank Wyoming Wound Care for all their commitment and caring. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Central Wyoming Hospice. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice, 319 S. Wilson St. Casper, WY.

Terry will be interred September 5th at Highland Cemetery at 10am with a brief military service.
