Thomas Johnson

Thomas T. Johnson died Monday, July 9, 2012 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services held other than for family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 11, 1926 and married Marie Landeros Castaneda on April 19, 1951. He enlisted and was proud of his service in the US Marine Corps in China and as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. Mr. Johnson was a rancher and an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life - and a longtime resident of Casper, Wyoming. Survivors include: his wife Marie Johnson of Casper, his son and daughter-in-law Ernest & Nancy Johnson of Douglas WY, his grandson Jeff Johnson of Brighton CO, his great-granddaughter Rylie Johnson of Brighton CO; his cousin Fran Blaney of Tolland CT, and his nephew Lee Dee of Vero Beach FL. He was preceded in death by: his mother Rose Bailey of Hendersonville NC, his brothers Joe and Phil Damiano of Cleveland OH, his grandmother and grandfather Fransesca and Phillip Felize of Cleveland, OH, and many other family members. Memorials may be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice or the Casper Humane Society.
